The Goa Government is
Torn over Online Casinos

Off shore casinos are faced with
accusations suggesting soft paddling among the online casino
industry in Panaji. The Goa government is making it clear that
they have no intention to let the casinos to over run the area.
The Chief Minister of the Goa
government has the belief that it is unfeasible that all the
companies who request to have off shore facilities in Panaji to
actually go through with their construction
According to newspaper reports the
company has a plan to create 10 offshore casino sites that will
provide a home base for online casino operations.
This announcement has caused a lot of
dissention among the citizens and organizations in the Goa area.
Senior officers in association with
the government have exposed information suggesting that six more
companies have already paid the fees to begin processing. After
this process is complete the online casinos will begin
construction of their off shore sites
The Chief Minister is pleading
ignorance about all the proposed plans concerning the interested
online casinos. This in turn is creating a great deal of conflict
in the government. Members of the community are not exactly keen
on housing the off shore facilities for the casino companies.
