resignation of a lawyer who served under George W. Bush has
ignited further talk of the online casino controversy in the U.S.
Apparently the
lawyer had formerly been involved in the online casino business.
There is much speculation as to how his hand in the internet
gambling industry has play apart in his resignation.
Online casino
gambling derives a great deal of revenue from U.S. costumers who
find it simpler to gamble from home in on internet sites than
traveling to areas of America where gambling is permitted
After the
arrest of Peter Dicks, the director of the online casino
Sportsbetting.com, relations between law makers in the U.S. and
executives of off-shore based internet casinos have been volatile
at best.
Although the
war against online gambling does not have a completely unifies
front. The policing of online casinos has been taken extremely
seriously by individuals working in the United States.
The Federal
Trade Commission has made it clear to investors, CEO's, and
operators of online casino facilities that visiting the U.S. at
this junction will not behoove them.
US senators are currently engaged in a fight to tighten the
country’s laws against gambling.
Senators are
currently engaged in heated to debate which may result in tighter
restriction on internet gambling.
Executives are given the greater brunt of the internal conflict
concerning online casinos. The law is not solid enough to permit
the arrest of citizens who use the internet to gamble, however,
the government can put the heat on the individuals the means by
which to gamble.
