Senate Plans to
Discuss Online Casinos After Recess
Sept. 22-06
The Senate has decided to work toward
a compromise concerning the legislature on online casino gambling
sites on the internet.
The House and the Senate have been
endeavoring to break open the online casino conundrum for
discussion on their respective floors for the past two months now.
Due to a split on the issue and far more prevalent matters being
debated in the fore front, online gambling has been on the back
burner as far as legal discussion is concerned
The Senate Majority leader Bill Firsts
feels that the pace at which law makers have responded to the
issue has been more than adequate. He is confident in the Senate's
process and he feels that the definitive decision on the issue
will soon be exacted.
One proposed solution is to concur
with the stipulations proposed by the HR4411 Bill past by the
House of Representatives. This bill prohibits the use of certain
payment methods to online casino companies by the consumer which
there cripples the ability of the company to function given the
inconvenience that would be imposed.
The bills only revision if taken on by
the Senate, would ease restrictions as they pertain to the US
horse racing industry
Credit card companies and banks would
not be permitted to maybe pay outs to online casinos under the
bill proposed by the House
.Lawmakers in the Senate are scheduled
to take a recess at the end of next week to prepare for November
elections. Upon returned state representatives have projected that
the issue concerning the online gambling industry will be
addressed.
