Author of Online Poker Guide Goes Holy
John Gollehon has decided to but down the
deuces and pick up the bible. This
writer has been best known for his publications of tips and strategy for casino
players. Poker has been Gollehon's primary focus and has permeated his many books
on the subject of casino gambling. Now, his conscience is getting the better of
him.
Gollehon's
Lutheran beliefs have always presented a problem for him when it
comes to the subject matter in his writings. The struggle between morals and
money have always resulted with the latter as the victor where John was
concerned. Although gambling has indirectly proved him with a lively, John has
decided to stop writing on the subject.
The author feels that pokers attraction to a younger demographic steps
further into the realm of immorality than he would care to venture. Gollehon is
an occasional gambler himself and enjoys the past time for its entertainment
purpose however, he can not bare the thought of children being drawn by online
gambling. This has caused him to witch his focus and write on a more lofty
subject. Traditional Christian literature may be a vast departure from gambling
strategy, but John is betting on this subject as his new means to make a living.
Sharing the views of the protestant church with the world is no less
competitive than sharing online casino stratagems. The subject that he proposes
to delve into is centuries older than his previous venture. Gollehon has
acknowledge the task before, but is not afraid of the challenges that are
presents. Competing with the Bible is no small feat after all. The former
gambling author intends to bring a protestant view to historical events creating
a livening voice to give old stories a new sense of validity.
He hopes to create works that speak to the generation under the age of 35.
Being that he is in his 60's, Gollehon will have to make a bit of an adjustment
to cater his writing to that generation. The ambitious writer hopes to reverse
some of the "damage" he may have contributed to in marketing poker to a younger
audience. His writings, he hopes, will provide and inspirational voice to lead
toward self-improvement and positive influence.
Gollehon believes the popularity of casinos games destroys worth ethic among
children. When they see people winning big, according to the author, they think
that they can to and devote all their time trying. This sort of behavior will
lead to less interest in productivity and occupations which serve the greater
good of the community. Gollehon wants the association with money and providing a
service to be among the values that children in the US are taught. For John, the
increase popularity of gambling in youngsters, does not fit into that social
paradigm.
